“Mary’s Crown” and the roof beams go up
The day started off with a beautiful “God moment” as “Mary’s crown” (the compression ring to which all of the roof beams connect) was raised into the sky by a crane as the sun rose to the east.

From there, the roof beams were raised one by one, put into place and attached to the existing steel framework of the church and the compression ring.

The first three beams are in place.

This view shows the new bell tower very clearly.

The seventh beam being raised up into position.

This close up shows exactly how the beams fit into the compression ring at the top of the roof.

The seventh beam is now in place with one left to go.
