Immaculate Conception Church

The day started off with a beautiful “God moment” as “Mary’s crown” (the compression ring to which all of the roof beams connect) was raised into the sky by a crane as the sun rose to the east.

From there, the roof beams were raised one by one, put into place and attached to the existing steel framework of the church and the compression ring.

The first three beams are in place.

Four beams now in place.

Six beams now in place.

The pour of the concrete foundation took place on Monday. The first picture shows the pour in action, the next two show the end results.

The Knights of Columbus presented a check to Fr. Carl for $30,000 last night to go toward the new church. Thanks to the Knights for all the service they provide to our parish.

Our personalized rocks were spread in the lower level of the church today directly under where the altar will be on the main level. The foundation pour is scheduled for this coming Friday which will make these rocks part of the physical foundation of the new building.

This picture is a view of the sanctuary space from Baptismal Font location. Metal deck placement is nearing completion and crews are preparing for the placement of the concrete on the first floor.
